Dr Farah provides oral surgery treatment for our patients including wisdom teeth and implants. Farah was awarded a Masters in Clinical Dentistry in Oral Surgery from University College London, after which also gained her Membership in Oral Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. She is a member of the British Society of Oral Surgeons and the International Team for Implantology. She continues to play an active role in dental academia. Alongside her work with our team, she is a Specialty Dentist and clinical teacher in Oral Surgery at Kings College Hospital where she teaches final year dental undergraduates and postgraduate dental trainees.
Farah’s special interests are dental extractions, extractions of complex wisdom teeth, implant dentistry, temporomandibular dysfunction, and oral surgical procedures in medically compromised patients.
Farah is experienced in the provision of dental and maxillofacial care at St George’s Hospital, a major London Hospital for trauma, cancer and reconstruction surgery. During her time there she was treating patients who were medically compromised, as well as cancer patients who required oral surgery, full mouth rehabilitation, biopsies, and pre and post treatment monitoring.
Her dissertation focusing on “MRI analysis of taste centres in the brain as a novel way to diagnose taste discrepancies resulting from injuries to the lingual nerve” was selected from a pool of finalists across the UK and awarded a research prize by the Royal College of Surgeons in 2022. Her publication in the British Dental Journal serves as a guide for general dental practitioners for understanding oropharyngeal anatomy, pathology and clinical examination in order to spot early red flags and initiate prompt referrals.
