Dr Lena Malaty

Dr Lena Malaty obtained her Bachelor of Oral and Dental Surgery degree in 2012. She then gained valuable experience in Maxillofacial Surgery during two years at St George’s University Hospital, followed by a year as a Specialty Doctor in Oral Surgery at Croydon University Hospital.

Lena currently works at King’s College Hospital Community Special Care dentistry, where she undertakes Paediatric dentistry. For children and young adults, she utilises a variety of behavioural management techniques to ensure a comfortable and positive dental experience. These techniques range from acclimatisation, where children are gently introduced to the dental environment, to desensitisation, which gradually helps reduce fear and anxiety over multiple visits. For more anxious patients, Lena is proficient in using inhalation sedation, creating a calming and stress-free treatment experience.

Her comprehensive approach enables her to provide a wide range of treatments, including extractions, stainless steel crowns and restorations, while ensuring that each child feels supported and at ease throughout the process.

Currently, Lena is pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Prosthodontics to further her clinical expertise. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, painting, and spending time with friends. She is fluent in both English and Arabic.
